We want to create a breeding ground for imagination, creativity, and enthusiasm. Here at Kronen Gaard Hotell, the coffee is always hot and freshly brewed. We offer day packages, 3-course meals, as well as exciting activities and experiences for participants such as wine tastings, kitchen theatre, and guided hikes along one of the many nearby trails.
With our unique surroundings in the Sandnes countryside, you and your participants can enjoy a delicious lunch out in our garden in the summer, or go on a hike followed by a picnic in the surrounding area. A fantastic way to get some fresh air and get inspired.

Catering for your Event
Lunch
Our lunch buffet is a welcome break between a busy day. Our chefs are ready to serve you locally-sourced and honestly-made warm and cold dishes from our open kitchen. Enjoy your lunch outside in our garden or in one of our historical dining rooms.
We also offer 3-course menus for dinner. Please feel free to contact us for a personalized offer.
Coffee Breaks
Conference days can sometimes feel long, which is why we offer warm, homemade waffles served with sour cream and jam along with refills of freshly brewed coffee delivered to your conference room in the afternoon.
Midday Meal
A midday meal or “mellemat” as we call it in Jæren, is a tradition they have on the farm, which is, simply put, a slice of bread with your topping of choice. A small meal to power through the latter half of the day!
Charcuterie Board
A premium assortment of local ham, salami, and cheeses, served with jam, fig compote, dates, grapes, and crackers. A perfect combination of salty, sweet, and savory.
Activities
If you would like to have an additional experience in connection with your conference, we have several activities to offer – both indoors and outdoors. Everything from kitchen theater to a light lunch hike in the surrounding area.
Kitchen Theaher
Would you like to try your hand at being a host for an evening? Or perhaps a bartender, chef, florist, or hotel director?
At our kitchen theater event, groups of 15-50 people get to experience firsthand what it is like to run a hotel – for real!
The event lasts for approximately 4 hours, and we have knowledgeable chefs and waiters who will guide you and offer good tips along the way.
In our experience, Kitchen Theater is an excellent way to bond people together, it is a fun way to see how the participants adapt to their roles. Send us a request for your event today.

Beer Tasting
Our beer enthusiast takes you on a journey through the world of beer. Here, the taste buds are set in motion and you are guaranteed to have a renewed relationship with beer after this evening.
The kitchen at Kronen Gaard prepares a plate for each participant with different flavors such as herring, marinated shrimp, and an assortment of cheeses, cured meats, and dark chocolate, which are to be tasted together with the different beers.
The duration of the event is approximately 1,5 hours and is best suited for groups of 10 – 30 people.
Lunch Trip
Feeling the need for some fresh air and light exercise?
How about a little walk in the nearby area? Sandnes author Jack Rostøl who is also an avid hiker has created a route especially for Kronen Gaard which we call the “Lunsjtur” or the Lunch Trip. The trip only takes 45 minutes, hence the name.
Good shoes are an advantage, if you need boots we have them at the hotel, just ask at the reception.
Team Building
We know that people appreciate a bit of laughter, challenge, and fresh air when out with colleagues as well, and we believe this is the reason for the success we have had with our team building offer here at Kronen Gaard. We also believe that good food is motivating – especially when enjoyed in our historical surroundings – a great framework for team building.
